TVF Show Team Member Expecations
  • Be positive with all team members.
  • Focus on your own work ethic and personal discipline.
  • Follow all show team and barn rules.
  • Set a good example with your personal lifestyle.
  • Operate within USEF rules.
  • Allow your horse to perform and progress at a level consistent within his ability, not yours.
  • Stay calm in injury situations, horse or rider. Be in control.
  • Cheer for your teammates. Remember we all make mistakes.
  • Self confidence starts at home in the barn, support each other.
  • Comparison to others is discouraged.
  • Winning is fun, but positive experiences is most important.
  • Materialistic values can detract from the commitment to the horse. Horses should have all performance care first!
TVF Show Team Member Rules
These rules are for those that choose to show under The Village Farm guidance. They are not the rules of the barn or other clients:
  • You must lesson regularly.
  • If your horse is coming back from injury, your return to showing will be determined by your trainer.
  • Lessoning outside the TVF network of trainers is not allowed.
  • Attending a show without a TVF coach is prohibited without prior authorization.
  • Jumping outside of lesson should be kept under 3'.
  • Your horse should be afforded all levels of care.
  • If your dedication slips you may be removed from the team until it returns.
  • If caught treating any team member with anything less than politeness and encouragement you will be dissmissed from the team. Put your differences aside at the barn and shows.
  • All members must help out at shows. No promises of a groom.
  • Members are expected to participate in TVF clinics, shows and other opportunities created for growth. NO ONE is too good to participate.
  • Be loyal and own a tough work ethic.
